The Boise area Master Gardeners planted and maintained an herb garden at
the Western Idaho Fairgrounds for a few years, and every year we tried to
time the pineapple sage to bloom during the Fair (mid-August).  Regardless
of the age of the plant (and some I had wintered over in pots) it was
nearly October before any of them bloomed. We're in zone 5/6.  Margaret
