Recently on this list there have been some nasty-tempered jibes at
communications that didn't deal with "perennials in the current sense of
the word." I've queried the author, but have received no reply. Perhaps
the old sense of the word perennial is that it's a non-woody plant that
lives for two or more years, flowering annually. But I still don't know
what the current sense of the word is. Does anyone? Or is this a secret
only to be shared among the formally horticulturally educated? Margaret
