Just thought I'd mention I also have a tangerine sage - it really does
smell of tangerines! It is very similar to pineapple sage to look at -
slightly smaller leaves and more compact growth with the same red flowers.
It also goes under the name Salvia elegans.
Another nice scented one I have is blackcurrant sage (also sold as fruit
sage) which has much finer growth, very delicate with brilliant magenta
flowers - latin name is Salvia dorisiana - it is also frost tender.
Both of these are edible - quite nice in teas or fruit salads - but too much
can be overpoweringly strong.
