Re: Wood ashes?

Hi Denise - read your reply on the Gardenweb and was surprise to find a
neighbor (I'm from Northfield).  While I've been on the internet for
several years, I have never before subscribed to a service such as the
GardenWeb until last weekend when I literally stumbled on the site.  I
spent much of Sunday morning reading all the questions and replys.  But,
I'm confused and wondered if you could explain to me how this works.

I read the threads at the GardenWeb and then, tonight, picked up my email
(I'm also, as you probably noticed, on shaysnet) and found about 50 replys
to various questions.  Do you answer the questions at the web site or
directly as an email reply?  If these replys are answered directly at the
web site, does the individual also receive the answer through email.  On
Sunday, I replied to a question about hosta (my personal passion)
varigation but did not see the reply posted at the site - what did I do
wrong?  I filled out the form found at the bottom of the thread and believe
it was sent.

I live on a dirt road just beyond Millers Auction Barn if you know where
that is.  I'm originally from Deerfield and more used to the river bottom
soil than the acid soil up here. But,  because of the soil I developed a
love of hostas (I belong the American Hosta Society) and daylilys. Love
shopping at Blue Meadow, White Flower Farm and Klehm Nurseries.
