Re: Elephant ear

Harriett:
When you bring your elephant ears in for the winter do you allow them
the tops to die first from the frost and dig the bulb or do you bring the
whole plant in and leave it in the pot? Does it live year around if frost
doesn't kill it or do they need a time of dormancy?
I usually dig mine here in Missouri because they don't always come back
if I leave them in the ground. I would be interested in your answers as
elephant ear is one of my favorites and I would love to keep them year
around. Thanks,
