Do you have hibiscus shrub or rose of sharon. Rose of sharon are hardier up
north. Hibiscus are probably ok where you are. I have a perennial hibiscus
that comes up from the ground each year. Do you have a wooded shrub? What I
would do is ask your local garden center how to care for this plant maybe even
where you bought it.
