Roses for Shade

An old rose called 'Alba Maxima' does well in my garden next to a thorn
hedge and under a tree, gets some sun but not a lot. We had a
particularly cloudy wet summer this year and it flowered the best it
ever has. Highly scented clotted cream blooms, flowers only once though
being an old rose, but that once was a good six weeks, not bad I would
say!
