Re: Web Search Sites

My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed when I requested search
sites. I received many that I didn't have before. Makes me wonder if
that wouldn't be a good idea for the Backyardgardener page....a form to
enter new links that other gardeners might find useful.

I currently still have many blooms in my garden, and am very hesitant to
cut back perennials and yank out annuals. I think I'll wait until the
frost kills them off before I go out to clean up the beds. I know I'll
probably be wearing gloves then just because I'll freeze if I don't, but
I can't bear to cut back things that are still blooming. Even some of
my more tender annuals are still alive and active. We've only had one
slight frost so far.

Speaking of gloves (and I apologize for being late with this), I
purchased a pair of gloves at a home and garden show that I wouldn't be
without. They're cloth, but from the palms up to the top back of the
fingers (so that it covers the nails) is coated with a rubber (?)
material. I love these gloves; the coating isn't too thick, so I can
still feel what I'm doing; they protect when I'm pruning roses; they
don't make my hands sweat; and, best of all, they're completely
washable. I've had them for about a year and a half and they're still
in as good condition as they were when I bought them. The name on the
back is "Grip M".
