All the hellebores are lovely - I have many varieties in my London (UK)
garden and treasure them all. If you aren't in too cold a spot, try
Helleborus corsicus - last year the first flower opened here on
Christmas eve and I cut the stragglers back in June - this year the
plant is bigger and better than ever and if the winter isn't too sharp I
hope for an even better display.
Another gem is H. foetidus, which in spite of its name doesn't stink
(its common name is the stinking hellebore) and has lots of lovely green
flowers.
Good luck with a wonderful genus.
