Don't know if this is relevant, but tropical hibiscus that are wilting 
are sometimes brought back by a chlorine bleach and water 10/90 or 5/95 
solution. Whatever pathogen is blocking the "arteries" of the plant and 
causing the wilt is killed by the bleach solution - or so the theory 
goes.
