Re: Walnuts -& not off-topic


Just to set your mind at ease, Janis, it wasn't your fault (or Jeanne's)
that the tree was taken down.  The infamous Walnut tree roots had taken
over the drainage pipe for the sewer system and the landlord had the
tree removed. :-) 

I've decided to move the suspect plants to another flower bed, and put
in some plants I hadn't yet decided where to place.  According to the
list of plants that typically survive under a walnut, the lungwort and
hosta I'll plant there should do fine.
