The commonly available Physostegia virginiana 'Variegata' is a relatively
tall, leafy plant with pink-purple (some call it rose) blooms.  The foliage
will turn deep burgundy when the combination of frost / cool temps / short
days occur.  

And as Bill Lee notes, the combination of burgundy and cream is
outstanding.  If only that combination were available year-round!

Does anyone know of any other variegated Physostegia?
