Hi Bill,

The key word with Wisteria is PATIENCE! This is not to say that your plant
won't bloom next spring, but I know folks (including myself) that have
waited 7-8 years for the first bloom. There are various things that people
can do to encourage their plant to bloom including root pruning and staying
away from high nitrogen fertilizers.

Go ahead and prune your plant for neatness, triming the side shoots back to
about 3 nodes from the main stem.

Good Luck.
