Hi Janice,
    I have the Eupatorium in a couple of places. In the nursery and in a open
shade planting in a raised bed. My partner liked this one so she has it in full
sun in one of her raised beds as well. All have faded a bit from the dark color as
blooms come on. The stems remain chocolate and the leaves are much darker than the
species. Still a great plant.
    Once the plant has a chance to settle in good and get those roots out there
for support and nutrients you will get the height.
