There is a plant that is called santolina. It comes in both green and
gray. I think the gray one is called lavendar cotton. Anyway, it stays green
year around here in zone 6, Missouri. Also there are quite a few different
ferns that stay green year around, plus the helleborus, they not only stay
green but bloom in January through April. I try to plant things close to
where I will be walking so in the winter I can enjoy them.
