Also Zone 7 here.  I planted several Hellebores 3 years ago.
One flourished, and eventually I moved the other two.  They
thrive here and provide wonderful blooms that last up to
four amazing months.  However, mine taught me that they require
shade, supplemental water until established, and lots of
mulch.  One of the things I love about them is that I've
never observed ANY of the myriad of pests or diseases,
which pop up elsewhere in my yard, occurring on Hellebores.
