Hello Karen,
It is possible for the hellebore to bloom the 3rd year from seed, but
generally first bloom is the fourth year. They can be forced by moving in and out
of the fridge... some commercial houses do this I am told. do not be too quick to
cull on first bloom. The first set of blooms are not always indicative of what
will follow in size and quality.
One of the reasons for the price on these at the nurseries....
