someone !! an emergency !!
today my husband and I redid one of the flower beds. tillered in
oddles of compost, now I have to go back and replant my day lilies,
iris, phlox, black eyed susans, stella de ore' hybiscus, and can't
remember the rest... of course the annuals have given up (the drought
got them) the annuals were cosmos, petunias, merigolds. this bed is
next to a fence and I've got 4 running rose bushes (1 white, 3 pink)
and a grape vine, 4 crepe myrtles, 1 oak leaf hydrangea, 1 rosebud
tree, (these are located right next to the fence) and I think that's
all
what I need to know is after I put my perennials back in the ground I
want to mulch with more compost. Now !!!! I've got oddles of poppy
seed and I want to know if I plant the poppy seed on top of the mulch
will the seed come up planted on top, or should I sow the seed first
and then mulch. will the seed come up and grow from beneath the mulch
the poppy seed have the red flower color. and with my stella de ore
(yellow) don't you think that will look great?
need some advice here:
thanks
