I'm hoping that someone can help me. My mom's friend has a beautiful tree
in her yard that she calls a "Golden Rain Tree". She says it was with the
house when she bought it and the original owner called it that. She also
says that it's native to Indiana and the reason why a movie called "Rain
Tree County" was so-named. It is a rather large tree with hanging strands
of yellow blooms in the spring that are such a deep yellow that they look
golden.
Does anyone have a botanical name and/or a source? I guess my mom is
obsessed with getting this tree and since it is the season for planting
them, I would like it as an early holiday gift.
