I have one in my yard, I believe she is referring to the GOLDEN CHAIN TREE,
Common Laburnum botanical name is: "Laburnum anagyriodes "
Comes from central europe - propagate by seed. The blooms are beautiful -
pea-shaped flowers cascading down.
