Hi Val,
The golden rain tree is a member of the Cassia family, Cassia fistula. All
the members of this family have the characteristic deep yellow flowers. The
tree is native here in central Florida. I don't know of any nursery sources,
although I am certain they are plentiful, however you may want to keep an eye
on ebay auctions as they have many varieties of Cassia listed quite
frequently.
