Re: Favorite Spring Perennials/ Mertensia
Hello Ross,
Curious about the "any mertensia" below. Which species do you have? I have
been working on collecting a few of these for my garden over the past few years.
Not easy to come by in seed and almost impossible to find anything beyond the M.
virginica around here when it comes to plants. There are over 40 species to play
with, so you would think more would be out there on the market.
Interesting to find out that not all species go dormant early in the garden
and not all are early spring bloomers. M. echioides is a late bloomer.. summer...
and the foliage is almost evergreen here.
