Re: Favorite Spring Perennials

Nancy

I would think the armaryllis would do well for you in your location.
I'm zone 7 and they do wonderfully for me. of course I wouldn't risk
all of them. put a few in the flower bed and see how they do and if
they survive, then you can feel safe to put all of them in the yard

I planted probable 10 of mine up next to the house on the south side,
however the other 5 or 6 I have in the open flower beds, but they do
good for me too.

as far as the ginger, well the original plant that I put out, it looks
like the frost and the weather has done some damage, but the baby that
has put up looks great. so I have high hopes for them. I'll add some
more mulch just to be safe.

RAIN !!!! I noticed that your part of the country was getting some of
the good stuff. we are suppose to like tonight and tomorrow, but I
think it's iffy for us. I'll say and extra prayer before bed tonight.
I have been watching the weather station, watching it move in our
direction and holding my breath. so add us in your prayers tonight.

Donna in NE Mississippi zone 7
