<< Campanula punctata 'Cherry Bells' >>
Hello Chris,
This campanula is labelled a thug by all sources. I bought it two years ago
at a club sale when everyone bypassed it on the tables. There are places in
the garden where a thug is welcome. My 'Cherry Bells' is face to face with
Geranium macrorrhizum and both are doing well.
In my garden it is around l ft. high and spreading. It does well in
semi-shade and poor soil. The flowers are not bright red but are quite
attractive and long lasting. Some of the best catalogs have been carrying
this plant. I thought I would pass this along FYI while you are locating
places for that long list of newcomers to your garden. Wonderful to choose,
a joy to find on sale and then the chore of finding spaces in the garden. Do
you consider this before filling up the wagon? I have not in the past but
am making a resolution for the future.
