Not much use for it. It's pretty common for places to buy domain names
or URLs that no longer contain useful information, but are heavily
linked to on the Internet. Then they can increase traffic (illegitimately)
to their own Web sites by redirecting these domains or URLs.
For example, I guy that I know had the domain name fibblesnork.com to
display LEGO creations, etc. He also had logos that people could add
to their personal Web pages, provided they put a link back to fibblesnork.com
on their sites.
Anyhow, his domain expired and he forgot to renew it. Someone noticed that
it was a domain that lots of people linked to (they had to if they used the
fibblesnork logo) and registered the domain, then put adult content on it.
So now thousands of LEGO-related Web sites worldwide are unwittingly
linking to a pornographic site. It also happend to willowpondnursery.com
recently. :(
To get back to perennials, I'm planning on buying a lot more stuff that I
don't have room for. I think I'm going to get a huge planting of crocus
by my front door this year -- last year I had a nice medium-sized one.
Ruellia humilis[1] is still blooming up a storm, as are Caryopteris,
Ceratostigma plumbaginoides [2], Verbena canadensis, and lots of other
stuff that I can't remember right now. :)
