Yes, fragrances vary between and within gardens. They also vary from season
to season, day to day and hour to hour. And to add to that, they vary from
person to person, an individual can perceive them differently over short
periods of time as well. Frustrating for sure!  :-)

Even trained "noses" have to follow pretty strict guidelines when doing
their testing work. (Aside - there was an interesting report in the Toronto
Globe the other day about the "smellers" who work for NASA - everything!
gets tested/smelled before it goes up in a rocket as once its up there -
you can't do anything about it. Fascinating.)
