HiNan,
I was out watering my daylilies this morning and noticed that on some of them, the flower stalks have formed baby plants at joints in the stalks. They look like offsets. I've never seen this before, is it common? And how do I treat the offsets to make them into full sized, rooted plants?

Just let them do their thing and in a year or two you can divide the clump and have at least twice as many. As an aside, I am noticing it more because the old foliage looks so tatty or has died off in the drought!
