Thank you for the websites.
I've been doing some searching and have been enjoying so many beautiful 
pictures. Just amazes me that people are able to get such beautiful close 
ups!! Must be great persistence and a little luck!!
So far...
I've not seen anything close to what I saw enjoying my phlox.
The wings are probably the major difference.
They were very small. About an inch and set between the head and the body. 
But maybe they appeared this way b/c they were constantly moving. But none of 
the pictures showed a long narrow bumble bee like body. 
I would welcome any more suggestions.
In the meantime, my camera is handy!!
