I know this won't help everyone on this list, but our nursery - Heritage Perennials - has 'Red October' in production and this week's availability lists it as readily available.
We are a wholesale nursery only (sorry - no mailorder either) but sell to many of the larger garden centres in the Mid-Atlantic and Great Lakes States. (Our BC nursery also sells into the NorthWest) You'll know if your favourite garden centre is a Heritage dealer if they carry our signature square blue pots. If so, they can easily order it for you. If not...tell them to call me. :-)
The good news is that it is isn't one of the most expensive hosta on our list. :-)

Will you share your results with the list, Gene? I've already added 'Red October' to my wish list on your description. Bill Lee --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS
