Interesting - I have left the pods and never got had any seedlings.
Cheryl
More later - just got back from a long weekend and I will have more to say!
Question is, are they seeds, as in I better do something or the entire
area will be taken over with tons of this plant? Or is it more of an
ornamental type berry and I should just enjoy them.
Yes they are viable seeds, and yes, they will reseed readily, but as
Don mentioned, are easily removable. If you're into this type of
thing, cut the whole stalks down, mass them in a nice vase and enjoy
them dried in the house during the winter. They look nice against a
light colored wall, and if friends want some seeds for next year,
you can give them a whole stalk!
I've got masses of pods, as yet unripe, just waiting for the garden shears!
