Sweet autumn clematis is second only to wisteria in its ability to show up
anywhere and climb anything and survive any amount of abuse I can throw at
it. Very strange to me--I had a very well-behaved one in my last house that
climbed a shed and stayed there; moved 30 miles south, admittedly into very
different soils (clay into sandy loam) and now this is one of the worst
perennial weeds I have. Shows up everywhere, and it's hard to uproot.
