RE: anemone

I get blister beetles on the three I have, though 'September Charm' was hit
the hardest, 'Pamina' next and Honorine Jobert not at all, and it's right
next to Pamina. I have had deer nibble on the blossoms, though they leave
the leaves alone.

Monica,
The world of anemones is a very large one... lots of variation. Spring
blooming, fall blooming, groundcover types, clumpers, runners, "bulb" types.
Which species or hybrid are you interested in planting this fall? Most do
not have problems in my garden... deer nor rabbits do not seem to bother any
that I have... and I have some of all of the above. Can get blister beetles
in some areas in late summer. They strip a plant to the ground almost over
night... anemone recovers, but does not look good.
