Hi Cheryl, I have no experience w turkeys but when I want to keep cats out of beds I use those sections of those cheap folding fences laid down flat. This could also be accomplished with wire coat hangers. For me, the division of your potted perennials might depend on which ones they are as some prefer spring, others fall, division. But, because it's getting late in the season such that new divisions wouldn't have much time to "grab", I'd probably wait until spring. We have issues w fluctuating winter temps here that cause heaving of plants divided or planted too late to get a good hold. I’ve gotten pretty good at that part, but several look like they’re ready for division and refreshing. Do it now, late September in a New Hampshire garden or wait until spring. And, the turkeys are using the garden as a dust bath. Any ideas on how to discourage them? Hope every one had a great growing season Cheryl --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS --------------------------------------------------------------------- To sign-off this list, send email to majordomo@hort.net with the message text UNSUBSCRIBE PERENNIALS
