I have brought potted mums inside to an unheated but never really much
below freezing garage, watered a few times over the winter, and had most of
them survive. I never had any luck with wintering them over outside. I'm
wondering if I could do this with a large potted gift plant. I think it's
a mandevilla vine or bush. It has glossy leaves and large pink flowers,
that look something like a pink petunia-morning glory. I tried to winter
it over last year with my house plants in a west window, but it really
languished. It's beautiful now and I hate to lose it. Do you think the
garage treatment would work?
