Re: Perennials from seed
Karen,
If you have ever grown any plants from seed, perennials are not really
any different. Some are quite slow to germinate and some need special
treatment such as cold for several weeks etc. Most catalogues tell you
if they are easy, hard or challenging to grow. I also have good luck
with a heat cable set up under the trays. It seems to help some slow
germinators such as lavender. I usually start perennials at the
beginning of March, as here I cannot set them out until the end of May.
