lobelias

Hi Kristl,
   Thanks so much for the information on my lobelia gerardii.  I
figured someone would tell me I had a weed, so it was nice to hear
that it's a desireable plant.  I must tell you however that it is
looking very strange.  All the flower buds are turning into fluffy
seedheads.  They look exactly like the seed heads of a dandelion.  The
little puffy things are flying all around the yard!! Does this mean
that it is going to seed without bothering to form flowers first?
What a dirty trick to play on me!
