Now that everything is winding down here in NYS zone 5, I realized that some
things didn't do as well have might have been expected:
some phlox which have a very healthy appearance in terms of stalks and
leaves, are only now blooming and less than the greenery would seem to indicate;
and then I put in six new roses and they all bloomed but one, Chas de Mills,
which does however look healthy;
can anyone suggest why this happened, and/or what they might need, like more
or less fertilizer, or potash, zinc, krypton, whatever?
