An environmental plug here, take it or leave it!! - We have lots of
birches, and I would be heartbroken to lose them, but.... diazinon is very
toxic! There are warnings all over the label that it is lethal to all
wildlife - esp. migratory birds (& kids????). Some of the East coast states
have oulawed its use from Nov. through May - I can't recommend any, but you
may want to research other methods of ridding your tree of pests!
