Dear Ranata,
You may have to learn to live with your moles. Getting rid of grubs won't
entirely solve the problem--my understanding is that moles will eat all
underground creatures, inlcuding earthworms, and you wouldn't want to get rid
of them. The castor oil mixes have some success, but it's not foolproof and I
think it needs reapplication frequently. It's also not practical for a large
area. I live in the middle of the woods and trapping moles wouldn't succeed
because there's an army to replace any I trapped. In my area, moles are big
too. Perhaps the best solution is to encourage the snake population because
larger snakes like black snakes will enjoy a meal of moles.
