Re: my new plants


Well, the echinacea seems to be more than happy in full sun for me, and
although I saw an article about growing them in damp spots in Fine
Gardening, mine do very well in dry beds where they never get any
supplemental watering.
You got me on French bleeding heart (that's why knowing the scientific name
can be handy), but up here in southern Ontario the bleeding hearts will take
a fair bit more sun than most books would have you believe and mine are
exposed to it from about 10 AM on.
Glad to hear that your shastas are blooming Jean.  Mine are finished for the
second time and since it is getting close to the freezing point some nights
I don't think they'll be trying for a third flush of bloom.  Any sign of
your asters flowering yet?
