Hi Renata, Your Hydrangea sounds like it is getting too much sun. I have
grown them for 20+ years and have never seen rust or any other fungal
disease on mine or anyone elses. Crispy edges mean too much sun with not
enough water to compensate for the heat. The orange spots could also be
heat/water stress unless of course you are describing orange PUSTULES like
those that occur on Roses/Asters/Snapdragons. Most Hydrangeas prefer
part-shade/shade, especially in long, hot summer climates. You may need to
move your Hydrangea to a shadier, cooler spot. For now, keep it well
watered - they do like water. Marilyn
