You know Amaranth keeps sticking in my mind, that was my first thought when I
saw it.  I must have seen Amaranth in a book as I have never grown it, but I
thought Amaranth's flowers hung off of a branch.  This plant the looks like a
fan (a brainy fan :~) ) shape from the distance and is standing straight up.

Thanks for help!  Will keep searching.
