Re: help me identify this

Rita,
The only other bushy type plant I can think of that has a trunk and
branches out maybe Campsis radicans (trumpet vine). I have them all
over the place here west Ky. They start out looking a little "ferny".
I have one beside the driveway that has never bloomed and is about 3'
tall. I wish I knew what it's (yours) leaves looked like. Identifying
plants is kind of a hobby, and my frieds like to challenge me alot.

Gene,
Three of my friends and myself all have the same two Brunneras. The
first one's died in the pots due to over-watering and something eating
the roots. The second one's did the best at first, dry shade under a
silver maple, then died. The thrid one's dappled shade that is only wet
in the spring, hers are still alive but just hanging on, with only three
leaves a time. Mine are in a wet shade area. The green one was doing
well until after it bloomed and the varigated one has never had more
than three or four leaves. About a month ago I dug them both up, put
gravel under them and a cup worm casting with each plant, raising them
up above the soil level about two inches. They both are doing better
now, but not as well as I would like. Any suggestiions?
