Brunnera is not ahard plant to grow. But to get the huge leaves you need to
give them some light.

The variegated one needs bright indirect sun-mine has leaves about 10 inches
across a very showy plant.

I had some green ones left over from last that I had forgotten and left in a
sunny spot. One day I was weeding a section of the growing area that I do not
get to often and came across those Brunnera and OH BOY they had some leaves
that were over 12 " wide. Needless to say when they went to the market they
sold right away.

So give them some morning sun and just do not let the soil get to dry. They do
not need to be wet -- just not overly dry-kinda like an ASTILBE.
