Re: Eupatorium coelestinum

Chris from Braintree, MA zone 5 new to list - we are talking about Joe Pye
Weed - Perennial Ageratum. or Eupatorium. It is so invasive that I move it
to the trees to winter over otherwise I could not stand it in the spring. One
factor it has white roots that are fairly thick doesn't break off when I am
pulling it out of other plants, but I have to have it this time of year. That
particular variety looks exactly like the annual ageratum. I absolutely love
it. I also have the white variety not as invasive lovely in arrangements.
Same effect as baby's breath. I cut my back regularly to keep it from getting
too spindly before I let it flower then it goes nuts in the fall. I also have
eupatorium maculatum. It is a lot more upright. I have been dying to talk to
others about plants. I have hundreds of varieties of plants. I am a
plantaholic. What are your favorite plants? I love hostas. I have found
web sites that I love to share. I have been gardening for over 20 years.
