Val -
Not on this plant - the blooms are all red. I think the one you are
describing is commonly known as the "shrimp plant" Justicia brandegeeana -
there is also a "pinecone shrimp" that has redder blooms and a yellow flower
that comes out - this one only blooms in the fall.
