 Marge If it's a ventricosa 'Aureo-marginata' it will have very distinctive 
seed pods that are thick and short.  They have the thickest seed pods of all 
the diffrent Hosta that I have.
  If you have seed pods or you can remember what they looked like from past 
recollection, I can post a picture of ventracosa seeds pods for comparison.
