I couldn't agree with you more, and have been earnestly searching
an alternative to our blasted fescue here in Zone 7.
If anyone has suggestions, sheesh, am I ever openminded after this
nightare of a summer. I really couldn't care less what it is so long
as it's low and alive so the doggies can romp on it between the beds.
This year, if we used our in ground sprinkler system, we got fungus,
and if we didn't, we got severe dormancy (it was so hot and dry, I
suspect fatal dormancy...big grin) And then of course came this
area's fall army worms. Working hard here to keep expanding
the beds!
