Powdery mildew

I too have powdery mildew and boy when it comes it is truly out of control,
but the weird thing is it sticks to just one plant, in my case the big
leaves on my pumpkin patch and when it covers it really covers the leaf and
moves on to the next one. Is there any way to get rid of it. I tried
cutting the infected leaves and all visible signs but it still spreads. I
have heard too much moisture can cause this, but how can you control that.
you've got to water (I know morning is best), and if it rains (more
moisture)... that's supposed to be a good thing.
