Re: Potato Vine-Purple Stemmed

I've just recently purchased a new potato vine (I believe it is Dioscorea 
discolor)....this one is much more showy and has a nice variegation in the 
leaves...I have it pictured at

The leaves are a different shades of green w/silver.  The stems, as well as 
the undersides of the leaves, are a pink-purple color.  Does anyone know if 
this one will produce the "potatoes" on the vine like my common one?
